2025
Opening of a new showroom for tiles, natural stone, and timber in Sierre.
2021-2022
Extension of the Collombey showroom and welcoming Sanitas Trösch SA, featuring a sanitary exhibition on the first floor. Refurbishment of the timber and tile displays on the ground floor.
2020 – 2021
Extension of the Martigny offices.
2017
The company celebrates its 90th anniversary.
2014
Buser Matériaux establishes a presence in Sierre by taking over the distribution of Lanko products, previously handled by Inetra SA (Mr André Caloz).
The product range is later expanded to include new sectors, notably tools (Do-it), natural stone and slate, tiles and waterproofing.
2011 – 2012
Construction begins on a new hall on Route de la Vallée in Collombey, designed to house both building materials and timber under one roof. Opening scheduled for early 2012.
2009-2010
The Martigny site is expanded with a new timber hall and showroom.
2006
To support business growth, the share capital is increased to CHF 1.5 million. Mr M.P. Buser passes away in October 2006; his sons Christian and Nicolas continue the business.
2002
The company celebrates its 75th anniversary in Martigny.
1999
Buser & Cie SA and HG Commerciale, Martigny branch, join forces to form a partnership. This new structure combines SME flexibility with group strength, establishing the company as the preferred partner for contractors and builders.
1997
The company absorbs its sister company, Produits en ciment et huiles SA, and increases its share capital.
1991
A branch opens in the Chablais region, in Collombey, in anticipation of the construction of Route de la Vallée.
1989
With the entry of the third generation of the Buser family, the company is transformed into a limited company (SA) with a share capital of CHF 1 million.
1979
As offices and storage space became insufficient, new depots and offices are built in the Martigny industrial zone, covering approximately 2 hectares.
1965
Mr Pierre Buser, son of the founders, purchases the company and becomes its sole owner.
1956
Following the death of Mr Ad. Buser, the company is converted into a limited partnership under the name Buser et Cie, succ. d’Ad. Buser.
1945
The company’s involvement in major hydroelectric projects requires improvements in structure: offices are expanded, and bilingual administrative and external staff are hired to support projects stretching from the Rhône Glacier to Lake Geneva.
1932
A cement products factory is established in Martigny, later moving its headquarters to Sion.
1930
After the 1929 economic crisis, business picks up, and the first company truck is purchased. Over time, the fleet grows to 10 vehicles.
1927
On 1 September 1927, Mr and Mrs Ad. Buser found the company Ad Buser in Martigny, dedicated to the sale of construction materials.
